This is a letter dated August 7, 1858 from Lt. Sill at Fort Vancouver in British Columbia, to Captain Callender at Benicia Arsenal. Lt. Sill gives news about the military action in the Washington Territory and also lists the stores he has on hand and other supplies that he is waiting to be delivered.
We know the military actions as the Coeur d'Alene war which was a military action late in the Yakima War.Collection
