Scope and Content

Letter dated 01/23/1877 to Miss Riddell and was sent from St Matthering Hall in San Mateo by J Hubbard. It concerns a reply to a previous letter about a camping invitation "next summer". They can't say that they can accept because of three other invitations for spending the summer. The other offers are: Spend the summer with Mr Cowan, who was at St Augustines, at Eureka, Humbolt county and at two other parties. The letter mentions the school and that the "boys" have come back very well considering the hard lives, low state of the stock market and C&C. They mention everyone at 418 Eddy St, not sure how that fits in. Also asks to be remembered to Mr Price.
