This is a letter from Briscoe Baldwin to Captain Callender at the Benicia Arsenal. He is asking for a decision from the Captain on what action he is going to take against him. This probably refers to Baldwin's refusal to carry out an order as explained in the letter in record 2019.021.0042 (07/30/1857).
NOTE: In the list of actions shown in the ledger in record 1994.007.0002, it shows that on 06/06/1858 "B.G. Baldwin was relieved from duty in compliance with orders from War Dept May 14, 1858".Collection
