Scope and Content

This is a copy of a letter from Col. Paul G. Rutten to the Secretariat of State of His Holiness the Pope. It is written 06/17/1946. The purpose of the letter is to thank the Pope for a placque Col. Rutten received regarding his help in meeting the spiritual needs of the German POWs in Benicia. The other purpose was to recommend that Father Muller also be recognized for his contributions to handling the spiritual needs of both the Italian and German POWs held in Benicia.
