Liquor License, City of Benicia issued to W. J. Fitzpatrick No. 43 Benicia July 1st, 1890 "This is to certify that W.J. Fizpatrick, for the sum of Twenty Dollars, by him paid to the City Marshal, is authorized to keep, conduct and carry on a Wholesale or Retail Liquor Saloon or Drinking House in the building located on _____ of Lot No. 4 , in Block No. 7 , of said City, as laid down in the official map thereof, for the period of Three Months, from the date hereof. This authority is subject at any and all times, to revocation by the Board of Trustee of the city of Benicia. This License is issued upon the express condition that the said licensee is to keep an orderly house, that he will not furnish to minors, no intoxicated persons, intoxicating liquors of any kind nor permit minors to frequent his place of business and that he will comply with every and all the Ordinances of the City of Benicia and with the laws of the State of California, appertaining or referring to the liquor traffic and if said licensee violates or disregards said Ordinances or said laws in any manner, the Board of Trustees shall revoke this License at its option and thereafter no license will be issued to said Licensee." signed by the President of the Board of Trustees (signature not decipherable); the City Marshal, Wm.
