Information in lower left corner:
"One of the major deep water ports in the Bay Area, Benicia is known as a "Center of History in the Center of Growth".
Temporarily California's Capital in the early 1850's, much of California's early history has been preserved in the charming architecture of its buildings. Notable are the Benicia Arsenal (the first Army arsenal of the Pacific Coast), the Camel Barn Museum, and the Old State Capitol Buiding.
Stability is reflected in Benicia's growth. The fastest growing town in Solano County, industrial and residential development has served only to broaden and enrich the strong feeling of community and character.
Benicia has a current population of over 20,000."Collection
