Mrs. Bell DeGraf was the editor of the San Francisco Chronicle's Cooking Information Page. Her column was syndicated in 50 Pacific Coast Newspapers; she was the Director of Domestic Science, California Prune and Apricot Growers Association; she was also an Instructor at U.S. Naval Reserves, New York City. For many years she was in charge of the Domestic Science Department of the Sperry Flour Company. (a picture of Mrs. DeGraf is included with the above summary at the front of the book.
