San Francisco, 1906. View of destroyed buildings from the earthquake and fire. 1906 San Francisco earthquake. Hall of Justice and other wrecks. Sign says WH Crocker Camp. This is the Mrs William H Crocker refugee camp in Union Square. Three guys sitting on a bench next to sign. In background is the steel structure of the Whittell Building - then known as the Union League Building - under construction at the time of the earthquake. The undamaged building in the background right of center is the Call building.
