These negatives were in an envelope marked "Arsenal" and with a note asking for a 5x7" enlargement at the rate of $.35 each for seven enlargements. There is also a stamp on the front from Frank J. Stumm Publisher Benicia, California. Frank Stumm was the jeweler who published a number of postcards of the region during the early 1900s. These may be negatives from John Molfino that were considered for publishing as postcards by Stumm.
This photo shows First Street in Benicia. There was some camera shake when the photo was taken so things are a little blurry. A building on the left has a sign on it's roof the last part of the two words are "AIL" and "UCH". (Probably for the words Mail Pouch. See 2020.012.0056.) This is probably an advertisement for some product. On the right is a sign for the Anderson Hotel next to the Chinese laundry. This looks like the same viewpoint as seen in 2020.012.0050.Collection
