Scope and Content

This is the Daily Alta California newspaper for June 9, 1851. The front page contains an ad for Pacific Mail Steamship Co. The ad details the sailing schedule of the company, the ships used, and the reduced fares. The entire newspaper is in this record but because it is encapsulated only the front and back pages are viewable. Also because of the encapsulation, the scans are not entirely clear.
