Oil painting of Benicia's Peabody Hospital and the Carquinez Straits. The painting was done by a student at the Young Ladies Seminary. It was very similar to the one done by F.A. Buttman (2004.001.1183) who was a teacher at the school. This may have been a class exercise.
The size of the painting as measured from the front is 17" x 25" and the frame is 20" x 28".Collection
