Sample brand on a piece of leather for Harrington & Dolan, a true copy of the original filed September 25, 1856, is recorded in a Ledger of the Solano County Recorder 1855-1916. (page 9) A copy of the recording is not adhered to the back of the leather. There is some hand written information in ink on the back of the piece of leather. It is indicted the brand, capital H and capital D connected in the middle, is on the right hip. (a very similar brand belonging to Daniel Holman is stamped on the left hip to distinguish the animals of the two parties.)Collection
