This is a photograph of a group of people listening to a speaker next to a large bell. The back identifies the speaker as John O'Grady of Benicia. It says the bell is from the Congregational Church but is followed by a question mark.

This bell was cast at the Pacific Mail Steamship Co. plant when it was located in Benicia from 1850 until 1869. It was placed in the belfry of the Congregational Church on J Street, Benicia. The bell has been removed and placed in the garden of new church located at 1305 West Second Street...
