This is a photo of a print of the Benicia Arsenal. General Persifer Smith visited Benicia in March of 1849 and concluded that the site was ideal for a military post. The Benicia Military Arsenal was established in the Eastern part of town where the Benicia Industrial Park now exists.Collection
