Half an hour after he had closed a Saturday night reunion or his class In Cooper Medical College with the hope that all should be In good health for the reunion the coming year, Dr. Donald M. Gedge, assistant medical director of the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, was dead - a victim of heart disease. He collapsed as he left the banquet room In a downtown hotel. His classmates rushed him to his room in another hotel, where he had taken quarters so that he and his wife need not return to their San Mateo home at the late hour. Here the end came within a short time. His wife was at his bedside, as were some of the prominent medical men in San Francisco and the East Bay. Dr. Gedge was 64 years old.
