This is a Cabinet Card of a house that Henry Samuel Prendergast and his wife Sarah Jane Bradley and adopted daughter Edna Charlotte Prendergast lived in about 1900. The 1900 census record records the family on "H" street (not specific to East or West). It says that they are renting.
Henry was born in 1858 in Canada, emigrated to US 1876 and died in Benicia 11/02/1905. He was a carpenter.
Sarah was born 05/1865 in Canada and died in 1933 I think in San Francisco after re-marrying.
Edna was born in 01/07/1886 in Michigan and died in Sacramento, CA,
The family lived in Siskiyou County, CA as late as 1896.
Written on the back of the photo is "Mr W.H. Martin (see contract) this property is in Benicia Solano County right in town." "see Rogers".
I've attached a copy of a photocopy of a cabinet card showing Mr. & Mrs Prendergast. We do not have the original cabinet card.Collection
