This is a Cabinet Card of John Lynch from Benicia, CA taken 1883. He was Maj. John Lynch and his second wife was Mary Atkins Lynch (1825-1882).
Maj. Lynch died 06/14/1900 committed suicide with a single gunshot in Berkeley, CA . He had been suffering for a long time with a painful illness.
One of his last wishes was to have his ashes scattered over the grave of his wife, Mary Atkins Lynch, in Benicia.Collection
