This is a photograph of Oceana Dillingham (wife of Charles Erwin). Included with the photo was a negative of the photo.
The photo was taken by C. E. Schaffer (Charles Eighmy Schaffer). He was born in 1861 in New York. He was a photographer in Benicia at least by 1898 according to the 1898 voter registration records. (He is not shown in the 1902 voter registration list for Benicia precinct 2.) There is an Ebay photo of his for sale of a Spanish American War soldier (see attached) in Benicia.Collection
