This is a photo Matthew Hall McAllister who was the son of Cutler McAllister who is the brother of Col. Julian McAllister, commanding officer of the Benicia Arsenal. M. Hall McAllister was born in 1861 and died about 1948. The back of this photo gives the dates as 1858 - 1879. These are the dates for Julian McAllister. I believe this is a photo of Matthew not julian and that the dates were added later and are incorrect.Collection
