World War I pin - round brass - locking pin back
Raised impression: four "L"s at the top, trees on both sides, a ship with a bi-plane above it in the center, a crossed saw and an axe below, and across bottom: "Authorized By The Secretary of War". The L's stand for Loyal Legion of Loggers and Lumbermen.
In 1918 loggers and lumbermen were sent to the Northwest to harvest Sitka spruce trees to make war planes for the US, England and FranceCollection
