Drawing was done by John H. Coster (first letter appears to be a C) Capt. 8th Cavalry, Engineering Officer Headquarters Military Division Pacific Departmen of California, San Francisco Cal. Nov. 21st 1877 9/1021 It shows individual buildings: Commanding Officer's Quarters, Hospital, Adjutant's Office, Guard House, Quartermaster and Subsistence Store House, Officer's Quarters, Cottage, N.C. Officer's Quarters, Married Soldier's Quarters Nol 1 and No 2, Company Quarters, Bake House, Granary, Blacksmith and Carpenter Shops. Ground plans are shown for all, while some have front and/or side elevations. Map is in black ink on slightly yellowed paper (from age perhaps) It is in a 20" x 26" x 1" dark brown frame under glass, it is wired for hanging
