Photo of a baseball team sitting below the stands filled with people. This is a section taken from a larger photo that shows the stands and people watching a Benicia baseball game. The players have different uniforms. One says Rio Vista. Others seem to be a team that starts with "Y". The postcard is being sent to Private W.H. Pine in the Armed Forces Evacuation Hospital in "Toul?".
The card was written by John Molfino and the photo on the front is his photograph (we have his negative). He talks about the flu epidenic in Benicia and the fact that Frank Stumm and Jake Lopas have died of the flu. Molfino also talks about wishing he had known that Pvt Pine was going to Italy so he could have sent him an adddress for his relatives outside Genoa.Collection
