On a postit attached to the back it says; Edith Clarklen was an old "flame" and her brother George was another of the yachting "crew".
The message on the front of the card says: Did you see us Sunday? We could not go up the bay as we had to run out of ___ tide but it carried us nearly to the plow works before we got headway - Everybody is crazy to go again and the club is to be given a reception next week by some of the girls. Three of our neighbors as we lay at Benicia. Will send pictures of the yacht when they are finished. H.W.D.
