This is an undivided back postcard of Howard street in San Francisco after the 1906 earthquake. The legend says "Howard St. near 18th San Francisco Fire April 18th 1906". It was published by Frank J Stumm from Benicia. The card is addressed to Miss Katherine Mason in Bristol, Maine and dated 04/15/1907.
This image is very similar to a negative attributed to John Molfino (2004.001.1087). Stumm and Molfino may have been photographing together or Stumm used Molfino's photograph for this card.Collection
