B/W photograph on a real-photo postcard postmarked 09/27/1923 from Newark, Ca. Written on the back is "Centerville Cal". This is probably the Centerville that was incorporated into the city of Fremont along with four other communities (Niles, Irvington, Mission San Jose, and Warm Springs) in 1956.
The photo is probably of downtown Centerville. The card is from Annie to Mrs. H Hease in Oakland. It tells what time Annie expects to arrive home. There is also a note in a different hand and in ink that says "Not Benicia" and "Florence White". I assume the card was owned by Mrs White at one time.Collection
