This is a photograph of a parade float from the Benicia Agricultural Works in Benicia. It is a horse drawn float with various farming implements, flags and two people riding on top. The sign says "Uncle Sam and the BAW" then "bound for the Orient with Civilizing Implements".
The postcard is a divided back postcard with a stamp box showing "Solio and with diamonds in the corner. This would indicate a date of 1903 to 1920. B.A.W. was bought out about 1913.Collection
