Description

B/W photo of Fischer-Hanlon House. This structure was originally a hotel, circa 1850, located along the southern edge of First Street near the waterfront. After being damaged by fire the structure was purchased by Swiss-born Joseph Fischer, who had it moved to its present site after 1858. Fischer had it remodeled to serve as a residence for his family.
