The Southern Pacific steamer "Navajo", built in 1909, at the wharf in Benicia. Long after the trains provided faster service between Sacramento and San Francisco, the "Navajo" and her sister ships, "Modoc" and "Apache", gave passengers a pleasant overnight boat trip. The steamers touched at many landings which could not be reached by other means.Collection
