B/W Photograph: Tombstone of Don Luis Antonio Arguello. Grave in cemetery at Mission Dolores in San Francisco. Don Luis was a brother of Concepcion Arguello, who fell in love with Nicolai Rezanov, the dashing Russian who sailed to California in 1806 and was welcomed by Don Luis in the absence of his father Commandante Arguello. Concepcion, later a Dominican nun, died in Benicia in 1857.Collection
