"Russia Tour 1990" is written in pencil on the back of the photo. This was part of the "Soviets Meet Middle America" project in 1990. Four Russian citizens spent 4 days in 4 cities to see how middle America people lived. The man in the suit is Victor Freeman who was Vice President of Southampton Homes. The tour entailed how Southampton Homes were being built. The woman on the left and man in hat were Soviet citizens. There was an ice cream social for the 4 Soviets at the Benicia Yacht Club. The public was invited to ask questions of them. It was hosted by Don Obendorf of Benicia.Collection
