B/W photograph of old lithograph: labeled "Part of Benicia in 1850" but the landscape shown looks very little like Benicia. The position of Mount Diablo suggests that this is really a picture of Martinez..
The above description was done by an unknown accessioner in 5/2000.
I believe it is a drawing of Benicia looking north east or east north east from the straits. I'm sure the artist took a little liberty with the location of Mt. Diablo, but the jetty at the end of first does run west to east.Collection
