B/W photograph: per back of photograph: Looking down First Street toward the bay. The high roofed bldg on the right is the early day Union Hotel (location), the bldg. with the bait sign on was the French Laundry in former years, the bldg. on the left beyond the Towne Club is also one of Benicia's early bldgs.
The photograph was taken from the intersection of First Street and F Street looking south towards the Carquinez Strait . The photograph is similar to 1991.004.0021 but shows the street without the electric/telephone pole. Transmission lines were put under ground on First Street.Collection
