The second one is of men who worked for the tannery and the date shown is 1880.
This was the first tannery in Benicia. It was located at West 6th and K street. One owner was Alexander Chisholm. He was born 03/1850 and married to Christy (05/1857). The 1900 census shows one other Chisholm in Benicia (Robert born 07/1874 married to Nellie. They lived on East J street.
