Photo of Presidential P.M.'s Convention Santa Cruz, Cal June 14-15-16 1910. It is a group of people, men and women and one child. Many of the people are wearing ribbons. These are California Postmasters who belong to the Presidential PM's Association. newspaper articles of the time (see scans): SF Call - 06/16/1910 "Postmasters hear Many Papers" - Former Postmaster MH Flint was one of the speakers at a banquet of the California PM's tonight and took the occasion to denounce "muckracking" in strong terms. He said he hoped that the two factions of the Republican party would get together on some middle ground... SF Call - 06/18/1910 "Postmasters to Meet at Lake Tahoe in 1911" Los Angeles Herald 06/19/1910 "Harrison Returns" - Postmaster William H Harrison returned yesterday from Santa Cruz... Taken in front of a door marked County Surveyor. Several windows have bars over them. This may indicate that the building contains the county jail. The back of the photo has a sticker from "Saakc" in Oakland, Cal 467 14th St. This may the company that framed the photo. NOTE: Benicia's Postmaster as of July, 1910 was J S Stevens per the Benicia Herald of 06/24/1910.
