B/W photograph of the southeast corner of the intersection of East M (now Military East) and East Second Streets in 1941, looking south. Visible to the left was the home of L.H. Hamman (long time principal of Benicia High School) which still stands today; the house on the corner to the right if built of concrete blocks and still stands today. Three houses were built on the open lot in this photograph: a doctor's office on the corner, then the home of the Marchionis and last the home of the Proutys.
The Marchionis moved to Benicia California in 1941 and lived in the same house for almost 55 years. They both passed in 1996.Collection
