This is a photo of the Benicia stadium in 1934. Sitting in front of the stands are the Benicia baseball players with their fans behind them.
The photo is glued to a paper with a newspaper article on the back. The article is titled "Women Have Part in Benicia Fete". It is talking about the Old Timer's Days being held that year. The women are (l to r): Nilda Quinn, Celia Murray, Alice Guibbini, Gay Fitzgerald and Mildred McClain.
The Benicia Herald for 09/13/1934 says that this is the first annual "homecoming" baseball game at the Old Timer's Days. It has the "Stars of 1924 vs. the All Star Benicia team. They have throwing contests, 50 yd dash, distance throwing contests, base running contests, etc. planned.
