Photo of painting of the Brigantine "Galilee" in Tahiti setting; painting owned by the Keenan Family; "Gallilee" was built in 1891 at the Turner shipyard. This brigantine sailed the South Seas Packet run to Tahiti. In 1905 she carried out the Carnegie Oceanic Magnetic Survey. She was sold in 1911 and converted to a 3-masted fishing schooner, retired and ran aground in Sausalito 1935-36.Collection
