Photo of Miss Kate Driscoll's School in a private home. It existed before 1900. In the 1920 census she is shown living at 420 East "H" st in Benicia with her niece, Ellen Driscoll (born 1885) who is a teacher. (Another copy of this photo says her home school was at 560 East "H: St.) Kate Driscoll was born 01/1846 in Massachutes and died 08/17/1926. She is buried in St. Dominic's cemetery in Benicia.
Shown in this photo is Theodore Rueger at the extreme left (Benicia's Postmaster). John Ruger (Theodore's father and not shown in the photo) established Benicia Brewery in 1856.Collection
