Description

Photo of a baseball team sitting below the stands filled with people. This is the large photo from which a postcard was produced (2014.011.0117). Even this version of the photo has been cropped from the image shown in the negative. The players have different uniforms. One says Rio Vista. Others seem to be a team that starts with "Y". Some of the people in the stands are identified as: The woman in the second row on the right with a white furry hat is Rose Diaz. Further to the left in that same row next to the first post is Harry Wassmann's aunt, Esther Maslle. The two women further along that row, one with a big black hat and next to her a woman with a black hat rimmed in flowers are Grace Quinn and ?? Passalacqua. Somewhere in the stands is Will Pine who John Molfino wrote a postcard to with this image on the front. In the postcard he says that he couldn't get Will's face in the postcard because he is sitting too hogh in the stands.
