B/W photograph of the southeast corner of the intersection of East M (now Military East) and East Second Streets in 1941, looking northeast. The homes that can be seen on the north side of the street as well as the one on the right on the south side were built in the 1930's and are still standing today. Three houses were built on the open lot in this photograph: a doctor's office on the corner, then the home of the Marchionis and last the home of the Proutys.
The Marchionis moved to Benicia California in 1941 and lived in the same house for almost 55 years. They both passed in 1996.Collection
