B/W photograph of a ledger page: Hand-lettered sign: "----cia Septr 11th 1867, Hereby ordered that the terms and vacations of the Benicia Public School be as follows: First. The School Year shall be divided into four terms of eleven weeks each, commencing respectively on the first day of July, October, January, and April. Second. There shall be a vacation of two weeks at the end of each term, viz. the last two weeks of Septr. Decr, March, & June. Third. Lost time, except the legal holidays provided for by the Revised School Law, shall be made up at the close of each term. Trustees of Benicia Public School." Signed "Edwin Danforth, A.
