Gable Roof Cottage - predates 1867
This house, probably originally quite small, does have an unusual feature. It has a basement, which was once a room. Boarded up behind one wall is either an old fireplace or stovepipe access.

The house was purchased by Anna de Silva (husband Joseph) in 1918 for her daughter from Philip Weinman or Weyman), who was an important insurance agent in Benicia. The daughter, Ida and her husband Jack Gonsalves lived there until 1975 and 1982 respectively, when they died.]Collection
