B/W photograph originally under glass in a black frame with gold trim. The photograph is glued to a mat board It is of the Fischer-Hanlon house. The caption reads: "The above charming residence was once a hotel on First Street. in 1856 it was purchased by a swiss-born Benicia merchant, Joseph Fischer, and was moved to its present location next to the early capitol, with additions and renovation. The house was occupied by descendants of the Fischer family until 1969, when with its contents it was given to the State of California, and the Fischer residence joined the early camptol as a part of the California State Historical Park."Collection
