107 East J Street Benicia CA
Parcel No: 88-142-8
Historic Name: Kullman - Sanborn Home
Later: Lundin House of Antiques (residence and shop)
Classic Revival style
There is a long narrow porch on the east side and the massive roof is supported by Ionic pillars.
Constructed around 1906-1908
It was built by Jacob and Herman Kullman (of the Kullman-Salz Tannery); it is said to have been "built for Kullman's daughter but she did not return to Benicia after her honeymoon so she never lived there." per Jacquelyn Lundin
Also, Julia Chisholm Sanborn, daughter-in-law of Benicia pioneer Lewis Decatur Sanborn occupied the home until 1920 when she sold it to the N. Passalacqua family. This is the only remaining large prominent family home remaining on First Street (at northeast corner of J Street).Collection
