Photo of a man and a bear walking down the street in Benicia. Written on the bottom is "1935 - Benicia". This may be Mr. Charles M Curtis or his family. He owned the C.M. Curtis barbershop on First Street. According to his grandson, he lived just off First street on West "D" street. They owned two lots, one of which was used to house the pet bear.
The odd thing is that the photo was printed by "Bear" Photo Service.Collection
