A copy of a photo from the California State Library Benicia collection. The original is a daguerreotype of men standing around a building on the docks of Benicia circa 1858. The photos were taken for the Gulick brothers who were early Benicia businessmen.
The building shown in the photo is called the Knickerbocker. The black and white copy is from the California State Library. The color version was taken at the library from the original and is only in digital format.Collection
