Queen Ann Cottage style
This residence is a square-shaped Queen Anne Cottage, although it lacks the oversized gable commonly featured. Both the offset gable which roofs the bay and the medium hipped roof are wood shingled. The entire wood frame unit rests on a raised basement and is plank sided. The porch roof is supported by turned wooden columns. The porch itself is confined by the bay and an open wooden rail. Ornamentation includes a fish scale pediment, carved brackets framing the outside bay windows and knobs on each gable corner. The house portrays the quaintness of the turn-of-the-century community and is also one-half block from the oldest standing state capitol of California.Collection
