Scope and Content

This is a memorial program for Commodore Thomas Ap Catesby Jones on the 118th anniversary of his death. It was sponsored by the Benicia Historical Society. Commodore Jones lived from 04/24/1790 to 05/30/1858 and was the Commander-In-Chief of the Pacific Squadron, United States Navy from 1841 to 1843 and again 1848 to 1850. The memorial was held at Commodore Jones Point in Benicia. On the back is the story of how Southampton Bay got its name.
