Barnes & Company / New York, Chicago and New Orleans / Entered according to Act of Congress in the year Eighteen Hundred and Fifty Nine. There are entries for First, Second and Third Grades from September 1877 through March 1878; no teachers names were found. Some names are of familiar early Benicia families.
