Sash/Regalia - blue and white polished cotton-like fabric with gold metallic edge tape and fringe; the lining is a dull blue linen-like fabric; there are four needlework stars with sequins around the edges, three in the area where the sash rests on the wearer's hip and one at the outside top of the sash (neck area); the sash is worn from the right shoulder to the left hip; there is a plastic "P" on the front; strip is 56" long and meets a bottom piece which is 11" long, the width is 10" at the widest spot and 4" at the narrowest spot; the label on the inside at the neck area reads:

The item was part of the rituals of the U.P.E.C. Portuguese organization in Benicia. They were a fraternal organization and organized the annual Holy Ghost Parade and other events.
